This is a unique, higher-quality specimen of a limited find - 35 million year old Fossilized wood with Quartz crystals from the Brown Coal Open Pit Zwenkau, Leipzig, Saxony, Germany. This mine is now closed to the public. Featured at the Tucson gem shown in 2023. This specimen has a great coating of fine Quartz that gives it sparkle. I like that this material still looks and feels like wood despite being fossilized.
