A very cool Calcite specimen hailing from Mexico. This is a white calcite with black dendrites throughout in distinct bands. Awesome definition to the dendrites and the black and white makes for a great contrast. Not super common to see dendritic Calcite. You will receive the exact Calcite shown. Dendrites form when Manganese enters a stone and forms a crystal lattice within the stone. Deriving from the Greek word dendron meaning "Tree", Dendrite crystals develop a multi-branching form and appearance.
