Gold sheen Obsidian is a naturally occurring form of Black Obsidian. The gold shimmer is created when the Obsidian is cooling very rapidly and gas bubbles become trapped. When the gas bubbles align themselves in a particular way, a gold sheen is formed.  In addition to the properties of Black Obsidian, the gold sheen variety is thought to resonate with the solar plexus chakra, balancing energies and emotions within the body.
