This is a stunning, large Calcite specimen hailing from the Empire State Zinc Corp. Mine in Balmat, New York. This mine has become famous for its pink Calcite, but this specimen was an unusual white and clear variety. Very faintly pink at the bottom. Amazing gemmy quality filled with rainbows. it was very difficult to capture in a photo but it is very impressive in person. Sits up nicely for display.
